The FICM’s highly prestigious Awards program honors outstanding achievement in dispute resolution. Our Awards are a badge of honor, a stamp of excellence that marks our award winners as part of an exclusive and illustrious group of innovators, comprised of some of the most influential litigators, arbitrators and mediators across a variety of industries, who work tirelessly to prevent and resolve disputes as in-house counsel or external d inhouse corporate counsel, teams, ispute resolution professionals.
The FICM Awards recognize both individual and team excellence in both the domestic and international contexts.
Lifetime Achievement AwardThe FICM Lifetime Achievement Award is granted to a person who has made exceptional contributions throughout their careers in not only personally advancing alternative dispute resolution, but inspiring others to do so as well.
Award of ExcellenceThe Award of Excellence is conferred upon an individual who best represents the furtherance of mediation and other collaborative interventions as preferred method of dispute resolution and peacekeeping, and to one who uses his or her personal and professional powers and persuasion to achieve this goal.
Excellence in International Dispute ResolutionExcellence in International Dispute Resolution is granted to a person who has made exceptional contributions throughout their careers in advancing the use, understanding, teaching, or promotion of international dispute resolution.
Award for Outstanding Scholarly Work
Award for Outstanding Scholarly Work honors individuals whose scholarship has significantly contributed to the dispute resolution field. Nominations should address one or more of the following:Nominee has authored a scholarly publication or a body of work exhibiting excellence in research, writing, and analysis.
Nominee has introduced new concepts in dispute resolution.
Nominee has embodied “scholarship in action” for a collective body of work that brings theory to practice in developing (for example) laws, uniform acts, codes of conduct, protocols, competitions, or new programs and services over a sustained period of time.
Innovation in ADR Award
Innovation in ADR Award is established to recognize innovative methods and extraordinary achievements in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Any organization or individual may apply or be nominated for having:1) Developed a project, program, or approach that has improved access to justice through an innovative use of alternative dispute resolution; or
2) Demonstrated dedication to creating a sustainable, replicable and innovative solution that the public and others can use to efficiently and effectively resolve disputes outside of traditional court proceedings.

All submissions are to be submitted by filling the online form. Review the award categories and determine the best suited award categories for nomination.
The FICM Award Nominee Seal is provided to everyone. All nominees can use the Award Nominee Seal until end of October, 2019. The Nominees can showcase their Nominee Seal in many of the same ways as the Winner Seal during this time only.

Finalists of all award categories are announced in Mid October and Winners will be announced at the India InternationalDispute Meet, on 18 November 2019.
All submissions are treated in the strictest confidence. Access to submissions is restricted to FICM Awards team administering the awards and the judging panel only.
Nomination EntryTo Nominate as an individual professional, law firm, corporate team or an institution, you must participate in the awards function at the upcoming TIIDM 2019 or you must be a member of FICM. If you are unable to attend the function or unable to become a member of FICM, you may pay a nomination entry fee to nominate. This nominal entry fee is to offset the administrative costs of the awards program.
Entry Fee for Non-members and Non Attendees:
For Academics: USD 75 + 18% GST
For Corporate Counsel USD 75 + GST
For Independent Practicing Professionals: 100+ 18% GST
For Organizations, Entities, Law firms: USD 200 + 18% GST
